FAQ

So how many Young Marrieds usually come on the weekends, anyway?

Generally just over 250 Young Marrieds visit our campus every weekend.

How do I get connected in such a big group?

Bible Fellowship!  We know things can seem a little overwhelming at first, but the best way to get involved is through our smaller Bible Fellowship classes which meet both Saturday night and Sunday morning.

What is a Bible Fellowship class?

Bible Fellowship classes in Young Marrieds consist of couples who are going through the same life stage together.

What is a life stage?

We believe there are three, predominate life stages in Young Marrieds.  First, our Young Marrieds life stage is for engaged and newly married couples.  Second, our New Families life stage consists of couples who have just started a family.  Finally, our Younger Famalies life stage is for the couples who have multiple children.

What do I do with my child?

Couples are encouraged to place their young children in the nursery, which is located in the front of the church.  Parents are then free to attend the service and Bible Fellowship and are given a pager in case they need to be contacted.

What is expected of me as a Young Married at Prestonwood?

Young Marrieds at Prestonwood are passionate about living intentional lives for Christ.

What does living intentionally mean?

Living intentionally is a mindset in which you are proactively committed to Christ and his church.  It involves being active in church and bible fellowship, along with getting involved in class socials. We aim to build relationships with other godly couples.  It is also being intentional about forming relationships with lost co-workers, neighbors, and friends.

What do you mean by class socials?

Class socials vary from class to class.  They can consist of a Rangers night, mom’s day out, or just a night to hang out with other couples.  All Bible fellowship classes participate in softball, bible studies, and Young Married gatherings.

What are Young Marrieds gatherings?

These are intentional nights at our church where our staff builds the whole night around a topic about marriage.  These are usually on Parent’s Night Out so child care is on us, and couples are free to learn, fellowship, and hang out with other Young Married couples.

What is Parent’s Night Out?

Parent’s Night Out is a ministry once a month where Prestonwood takes care of your child and allows you sometime to spend with your spouse.  Registration is online at our Young Marrieds site, and the fee is minimal.

How do I join Prestonwood?

Membership is contingent upon a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Once salvation is assured, then we will ask you to be baptized by immersion as spoken in the New Testament.  Couples can join by responding to the invitation after each service or by signing up at our NextStep booths in the Atrium.

How do I join if I am already a Christian?

If you have already accepted Christ and have been baptized by immersion, then Prestonwood accepts all membership from churches of like faith.

What is Nextstep?

Nextstep is an informative ministry of the church where you can meet Prestonwood staff and become more informed about the daily life of our church.  Both dinner and childcare are provided.

What now?

We ask couples to pray and visit all classes in their life stage at least once.  Experience a full weekend at Prestonwood by going to service and bible fellowship.  If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact our Young Marrieds staff.
